Goals and Objective of the Fund
Principal Goals of NSIFT:
- rehabilitation of social infrastructure by financing community projects increasing the permanent income of the poorest segments of the population and facilitate their access to essential economic and social services by supporting various social programs;
- assistance in addressing poverty by creating additional working places, attracting the most socially vulnerable segments of the population to work in the conditions of market economy to improve their material condition;
- assisting in increasing activity of population in solving socio-economic problems of local importance;
- providing conditions for creation, reconstruction and development of local social infrastructure as a factor of living standards improvement and its availability to economically disadvantaged rural and urban population;
- stimulating the participation of local contractors in the execution of works on rehabilitation and development of local social infrastructure;
- support for project activities of social orientation undertaken by individuals, families, dehkan farms, small enterprises and other legal entities stimulating development and expansion of business activities;
- providing technical, advisory and practical assistance to private and non-governmental organizations in the preparation and implementation of community projects;
- formation and development of working skills in a market economy, local and private organizations related to the implementation of social oriented community projects;
- monitoring the implementation of contracts with non-governmental organizations financed at the expense of project implementation.
To achieve the Goals above, NSIFT performs the following Objectives:
- creation of new working places through financing community-based projects aimed at solving community problems and ongoing building organizations, selected on a tender basis and by the communities themselves;
- development and implementation of community projects over four years to rehabilitate basic social infrastructure, and also economic and social services;
- provide micro-financial services in the form of microcredit, monitoring, technical assistance support to various local organizations with the aim of increasing incomes of the most vulnerable segments of the population;
- capacity development at national and local level to attract a large number of participants in the implementation of various programs on poverty alleviation;
- improve the quality of community members’ lives through funding aimed at the rehabilitation of small economic and social infrastructures;
- institutional development of the NSIFT partners.
